The villa situated close to České Budějovice City
This house was shaped to fit into the southeast hillside it sits on, which is located within close proximity to a river. It is made of three gradually growing cubes, going from a strong horizontal to a vertical shape. This design was inspired by a strong nautical influence derived from its proximity to the nearby river. The swimming pool hall evokes the stern of a steam liner, the sun deck its main deck and the home offices a captain’s bridge. Seeing the house as a connection between the river and a steam liner has influenced the colour scheme of the house. A snow white façade is combined with dark blue window and door frames. All metal components such as the tubular steel handrail, the safety ladder and the pillars, are colored dark blue as well. The house has three levels.
On the ground level there is a large entrance hall, an indoor swimming pool hall with whirlpool, two guest rooms, a technical room with fitness and sauna, a garage and roofed car parking place. The first floor contains access to a private area with three bedrooms and two baths. The dominant space on this floor is, however, a multifunctional open living area with an entrance to an extensive terrace containing an intensive flowerbed. A flight of stairs ascends to the second floor where roof terrace for solar heating panels and the semi-enclosed sunbathing terrace are situated. Two home offices and a laundry room are located on the second floor as well. The villa has a central stairway hall running through the whole house with a vertical ribbon window.
